Doctors are warning people that as more and more casinos open in Brittan the number of problem gamblers will also increase.
The BMA has recently released a report that shows that more and more women and children will become hooked on gambling the more the gambling laws are relaxed.
Brittan's leading Doctors say that treatment for gambling addiction should be covered under the NHS, and that Clinicians need to be properly trained on how to check a patient for a gambling problem.
Presently there are no age restrictions on slot machines with low payouts, but the BMA's Board of Science is calling on the government to start a study to see if maybe it would be better to make it illegal for any one under 18 to gamble on ay type of game. This move comes out of fear that they will be become addicted to these games at an early.
The reports also said that underage gambling can lead to delinquent behavior in adolescents, and should be a concern in the UK.
It stated that "Gambling is an adult activity and the Government should consider legislation that restricts gambling to adults only."
