For the second time in the last 2 months a representative from the state has meet with the town's Selectmen telling the board about all the good legalized online casino gambling can do for the commonwealth.

The state rep from Clinton Massachusetts was also at the Feb 12th meeting of the board to discuss the state of the state. He was talking about bringing new forms of revenue into the state and eventually the subject of bringing slot machines and casino gambling inside the state was finally mentioned.

The State Rep used a comparison of the state to that of a former general and a famous 1876 battle "I feel a little like Custer we're surrounded by it," he said. "It's in Rhode Island and Connecticut, this summer it's going to be in Hinsdale, New Hampshire. And make no mistake; cars aren't slowing down at all going up and down [Interstate] 395. It's time to have a serious and extended debate about bringing it to Massachusetts."

A the boards meeting in January a State Senator gave a state update and also spoke about the possibility that it was time to openly discuss making gambling legal in the state of Massachusetts.
